OPERATIONS IN NICARAGUA

NICARAGUA HERE WE COME!

Operations in Nicaragua are carried out by Open to Grow’s international partner ADIM.

ADIM is a small microfinance institution (MFI) founded in 1989. Its purpose is to provide microloans to solidarity groups and individuals in Nicaragua. Its focus is on helping poor women entrepreneurs who comprise 90% of their clients make more income and move out of poverty. Over the years, ADIM has won many awards, including the Mix/REDCAMIF Award of Transparency and the ASOMIF Award for Best Practice in the Area of Gender-Focus.

ADIM has six branches and over 70 people that serve over 7,000 clients in Nicaragua. In addition to a 30-year track record of success in providing micro-loans to its clients, primarily poor women micro-entrepreneurs, ADIM is a member of ASOMIF, an association of MFIs in Nicaragua that provides excellent statistical information and other services to its members.
